Bishop Peter Mungai Ng’ang’a is the Assistant General Overseer of Apostolic Faith Church Kenya. He is also the Regional Overseer of Central Region, Parish Minister of Muguga Parish and Senior Pastor of Kiambaa Assembly.
Bishop Peter Mungai started working with Apostolic Faith Church in 1984 when he became a minister at a shopping centre in Kiamba with a congregation of less than ten members. He became the church minister as a young person not yet married in 1984.
Due to the faithfulness of the small congregation the church grew and they were able to open other asemblies that now form Muguga Parish: Nduma, Thamanda, Gitaru and later assemblies. Bishop Peter Mungai have been the Parish Minister since the inception of Muguga Parish.
He has also been actively involved in Central Region Leadership. Once he was a Regional Treasurer, later became the Secretary after the departure of Bishop Peter Gatimu (when Nairobi Region was formed and Bishop Gatimu became the Overseer)
In 2017, he became the Regional Overseer of Central Region.
In 2010-2022, he served as the National General Secretary of the Church.
In 2022, he was elected as the Assistant General Overseer of Apostolic Faith Church Kenya.
Bishop Peter Mungai Ng’ang’a finished primary level in 1975, and O-level in 1979. He completed his teachers training course in 1984 and also acquired a Diploma in Special Education in 2007.
Personal Background
Bishop Peter Mungai Ng’ang’a got married to his lovely wife Mrs. Jecinta Waithira Mungai in 1986. They are blessed with four children: two sons, two daughters.
